I choose joy. I choose to let myself see the good in things rather than focus on the bad. that doesn’t mean i haven’t felt sorrow or pain. It is just my choice. I’m not naive or foolish. My heart has scars from being broken then stitched back together. my bones sometimes feel achy, but my muscles have grown stronger from all the ups and downs I go through. I am real. I am a whimsical, confusing, happy, intelligent, energetic soul. I choose joy, but that isn’t everything that I am.

my best friend is an atheist, but whenever she is comforting me with something in my life she uses examples of God to help me because she knows it makes me feel better, and vice versa, when i comfort her i never bring up God because i respect that it’s not something that helps or works for her
i feel like this is a model of how the world should work
what if one day, we all just let go of our fears. would we change? what if one day, we stopped caring about what others thought. would we still be the same? would the world be different? what if.
This is real. Once you become confident about yourself and love what you do, you’ll experience success. Don’t ignore your fears, overcome them. There’s no holding back.
